guǎn zi

倾向

Qīngxiàng

  • 我倾向于咖啡而不是茶。
    Wǒ qīngxiàng yú kāfēi ér bùshì chá.

保险

bǎo xiǎn

The Chinese word '保险' means insurance in English. It is used in the same context as in English - referring to a policy from a company that compensates for particular potential future losses or damages in exchange for regular payments.

Here's how to use it:

  • 汽车保险是必需的。
    Qìchē bǎoxiǎn shì bìxū de.
  • 我们公司为员工提供健康保险。
    Wǒmen gōngsī wèi yuángōng tígōng jiànkāng bǎoxiǎn.
  • 我决定增加我的人寿保险额度。
    Wǒ juédìng zēngjiā wǒ de rénshòu bǎoxiǎn édù.

皮肤

pí fū

The Chinese word '皮肤' can be used in a variety of contexts, similar to its English equivalent 'skin.' It is commonly used to refer to skin on human body and can also be used metaphorically. For example, in expressions regarding someone's facial skin condition.

Here's how to use it:

  • 我的皮肤很白皙。
    Wǒ de pífū hěn báixǐ.
  • 皮肤干燥是个问题。
    Pífū gānzào shì gè wèntí.
  • 皮肤状况可以反映你的健康状况。

宏伟

hóng wěi

The Chinese word '宏伟' is used to describe something that is impressive because of size, appearance or other quality. It can be used to describe buildings, scenery, plans, and efforts. English phrase 'grand view' translates to '宏伟的景色' in Chinese.

Here's how to use it:

  • 宏伟的宫殿吸引了许多游客。
    hóng wěi de gōng diàn xī yǐn le xǔ duō yóu kè.
